Étude | Concert Snare Stick
If you look in the dictionary under “workhorse,” you’ll find the Études.
Okay, not really, but they should be there. These sticks are the true definition of the word - a dependable companion for snare drum that will handle just about anything with ease.
The Étude sticks break the mold of traditional concert sticks. The large grip diameter encourages a relaxed, natural grip and the perfectly-balanced extra length and weight gives you better control, more response, and big sound when you need it. The conical bead shape is what gives this stick a lot of its versatility - the large surface area allows for smooth, easy rolls, while the hard edge keeps your soft playing crisp and articulate.
We started calling these “the étude sticks” while we were designing and testing them because they handled everything we threw at them. From Delécluse, Tompkins, Wilcoxin, and Pratt to excerpts like Kijé and Scheherazade - there just wasn’t much they couldn’t do.
The name stuck and now they’re a go-to for players at every level. If you're looking for a pair of true all-around concert snare sticks - you found them.
