Layne Lewis

Layne Lewis is a musician and educator from Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is currently pursuing a degree in Music Education at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. As a marimbist, Layne has performed with the Jersey Surf World Class Drum Corps and Paradigm Percussion, where she studied under world-class instructional staff to refine her performance and musicianship skills.
In addition to performing, Layne is an active educator in the local percussion community. She serves as a front ensemble technician for Paradigm Percussion, the Cumberland County Combined Percussion Ensemble, and Cape Fear High School. Through these opportunities, Layne strives to mentor young musicians and foster both their technical growth and musical expressiveness.
Upon completing her undergraduate degree, Layne plans to teach middle school band while continuing to work extensively with front ensemble programs. Looking ahead, she aspires to further her education by earning a Master’s degree in Music Performance.
