Angel Williams
"I was introduced to Artifact Percussion when they asked for some artists to try out a new bell mallet. I got a pair and noticed the color and clear tones I was getting and it is now my go to bell mallet. Artifact Percussion custom mallets are the bomb! I think of a mallet that would make certain exchanges easier and ask for them and boom they are in my hands so quick it’s like magic! When it comes to mallets the most important thing to me is that they allow the instrument to speak and Artifact Percussion mallets allow me to do what I love!"
Angel is a semi-professional percussionist. She was a member of the 2 time PASIC champion University of Utah Percussion Ensemble. She has always been a stickler for mallets and began wrapping her own mallets while in college to suit the musical needs of the pieces she performed. She was hired by Jim Deschler while in NYC to hand wrap the mallets that Deschler Mallets produced back in the 90s. She has performed with Johnny Mathis, Hal Linden, Kathleen Turner and Jay Weiss. Angel has been in the musical theater pits since high school, while in college she played for many of the theaters in and around Salt Lake City, Utah. She has played in a couple Off Broadway productions in NYC as well as a couple European tours. She currently plays percussion for many of the musical theater productions around Salt Lake City. She also performs and arranges music for her own Marimba/Vibe Duo “Unwound Melody”.Angel Williams is honored to be an Artifact Percussion Artist.
