Jared Coller
Jared Coller is a freelance percussionist and educator out of Northwest Indiana. Jared earned his B.A. in Music from Valparaiso University. While a student, Jared performed with the university’s Chamber Concert Band, Symphony Orchestra, New Music Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and Jazz Combo. He has studied percussion under Jeff Brown, and composition under Dennis Friesen-Carper and Ben Krause.
Jared was chosen as a winner of the 2016 Valparaiso University Concerto Competition performing Paul Creston’s “Concertino for Marimba” with the Chamber Concert Band. In 2018, he performed Mark Ford’s “Stubernic Fantasy” with Mark Ford and John Coller. He has also had solo appearances with Windiana, the professional community band out of Valparaiso, Indiana.
Jared is very excited to support Artifact as an artist and hopes to inspire others to continue making music.
