David Cariano Timme
David Cariano Timme is a percussionist, drummer and educator based in Oslo, Norway.
He is active in a variety of genres both as a timpanist and percussionist and has played with some of Norway's finest ensembles and orchestras. His activity as a chamber musician and freelancer has brought him to festivals and countries all over Europe and Asia.
Since finishing his masters degree in 2018, David has been focusing on commissioning and performing new works for percussion and electronics and is striving to populate the percussion repertoire with fresh music.
Besides his work for established orchestras/ensembles, he has also participated in the creation of new ensembles, covering a wide range of musical styles, as for example the «Störsignal Percussion Duo» and «Ensemble Wirakocha», a baroque music group focusing on music from South America and the Iberian Peninsula.
In 2019/2020 he is fortunate to have been awarded the «ArtEx» scholarship by Talent Norge, granting him extensive mentoring and coaching.
David is also a teacher, both privately and for the cultural school in the Nedre Eiker council.
