Joseph Turner
Joseph Turner is a freelance drummer and classical percussionist residing in Williamsport, PA.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in Music Business from Mansfield University where he was a member of the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and served as drumline captain of The Spirit and the Pride! Marching Band. Â
Recent affiliations include the Northern Appalachian Wind Symphony, Lycoming Wind Ensemble, Endless Mountain Music Festival, Bram Wijnands’ jazz trio, Roger Daltrey’s live orchestra, and The Hanson Brothers’ live orchestra.  Joseph has also been one of the winners of Mansfield University’s concerto competition, and has been a featured soloist with the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra and the Endless Mountain Music Festival Orchestra.
Currently, he performs with local ensembles and tours the east coast with various bands, while teaching piano and percussion lessons privately and at local studios. As a teacher, Joseph has also instructed various high school marching bands, and has served as percussion camp instructor at Mansfield.
Previous instructors include Adam Brennan of Mansfield University, Conrad Alexander of Mansfield University & Ithaca College, and Rich Thompson of The Eastman School of Music.
