Alex Braud

Alex Braud
Alex Braud is a percussionist and educator based in North Texas and is the percussion private lessons instructor for Van Alstyne ISD. A graduate of the University of Central Missouri, he holds degrees in both Percussion Performance and Instrumental Music Education. Equally comfortable in many performance genres, his performance career began as a member of Gateway Indoor and the Oregon Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps. He has also played with a variety of ensembles including the NorthWinds Symphonic Band, Philharmonia of Greater Kansas City, Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra, and was a member of the Kansas City Chiefs Rumble Drumline. Alex has also instructed drumlines at Smith-Cotton High School (MO) and Pleasant Hill High School (MO). He has also been on the administrative staff of the Oregon Crusaders and was a counselor at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. His teachers include Dr. Michael Sekelsky, Mr. Alex Smith, and Ms. Amy Hearting. He is a member of the National Association for Music Education, Texas Music Educators Association, and the Percussive Arts Society.
